Morning Above the Kyrenia Mountains
This photograph was taken at sunrise in the Kyrenia Mountains of Northern Cyprus during our first group Cyprus Photo Expedition in February 2026. From the high ridges of the Pentadaktylos range the landscape opens toward the Mediterranean, revealing one of the most dramatic mountain panoramas on the island.
Moments like this are exactly why Cyprus is such an exciting destination for landscape photographers. During the expedition we photographed both Northern Cyprus and the Troodos Mountains, working with changing light across mountains, coastline and historic landscapes.
This image is part of the work created during our first Cyprus Photo Expedition, following three private scouting trips across the island to discover locations and prepare the route for photographers. After the success of the February expedition, the next Cyprus Photo Expeditions are planned for November 2026 and March 2027.
Panorama compiled from total of 165 frames (5-level exposure bracketing of 25 frames in three rows, 40 antireflective frames).
