  • Location: Fully customized based on your preferences (Dolomites, Tuscany, Lofoten, Iceland, etc.)

  • Price:1-Day Intensive: from $1,000

  • Multi-day Expedition: from $2,000 (Exact quote provided based on destination, duration, and logistics)

  • Bespoke post-processing sessions to review and edit images taken during the expedition (online via Google Meet or during the expedition)

  • Complete logistics organization based on your ideas — including planning of transportation, accommodation, and shooting schedule

  • The fee covers Jan Smid’s guidance, coaching, and complete organization of the itinerary based on your preferences. Editing sessions, portfolio review, and online support are also included. Travel, accommodation, and meals are not included in the price.

  • Yes. Every private expedition is customized to your preferred destination — whether Europe, Iceland, Lofoten, Madeira, or even the Alaska. The route, shooting spots, and program are designed according to your goals and the season.

  • Not at all. These courses are suitable for anyone passionate about photography. Beginners receive step-by-step coaching, while experienced photographers can dive deep into advanced editing, single shots, panoramas, or night landscapes.

  • Group workshops have up to 6 participants, while a private expedition focuses entirely on you (or you and a partner). You’ll get maximum flexibility, personalized mentoring, and access to unique spots without the limits of a group schedule.

  • Most private tours last from 4 to 10 days, depending on your availability and destination. 1-say intensive private photo workshop and online landscape masterclasses are also available.

  • A deposit (usually 50%) confirms your booking, with the balance due about four months before the start of the expedition. Payment can be arranged via bank transfer or Revolut.

  • Absolutely. The 1-on-1 Online Landscape Masterclass is fully modular and tailored to your specific needs. While it can cover the entire "field-to-finish" journey, it can also be focused exclusively on advanced post-processing. Whether you want to master complex panoramic blending in PTGui, advanced exposure blending (BKT) in Photoshop, or professional color grading, the curriculum will be 100% dedicated to your editing workflow.
