Silent Lights of Hamnøy
This dramatic vertical panorama of Hamnøy — one of the most iconic villages in the Lofoten Islands — was captured during our Autumn 2025 Photo Expedition. Even though this world-famous location has been photographed thousands of times, each season brings its own light, tides, and atmosphere — and this year, we were rewarded with the perfect balance of glowing “rorbuer” cabins, moody Arctic twilight, and snow-dusted peaks towering above the fjord.
During our photography workshop, participants had the chance to capture this legendary view from a fresh perspective, experimenting with composition, long-exposure techniques, and multi-row panoramas — all guided by on-location instruction and real-time feedback.
If you’d like to experience scenes like this in person and elevate your landscape photography to a new level, join one of our upcoming photo expeditions, workshops, and tours. You’ll explore the most breathtaking locations in the Arctic, learn professional techniques, and create your own portfolio-worthy images under expert guidance.
Panorama compiled from total of 39 frames (3-level exposure bracketing of frames in three rows).
