Autumn Aurora Symphony
And here it is — a brand-new aurora panorama captured during a private autumn photo expedition to Lofoten 2025, this time with a photographer from the USA. It was our very last night on the islands, yet the Arctic gave us the perfect farewell: an absolutely breathtaking display of the aurora borealis, full of movement, intense greens, and unusually strong deep-red tones. The show lasted for at least 2.5 hours, and we enjoyed every minute of it.
Despite the windy conditions, we managed to find a sheltered spot and put together this wide multi-row panorama. Moments like this are exactly why photographing in the Arctic never gets old — dramatic landscapes, unpredictable weather, and pure magic in the sky.
And although this was a private autumn trip, you can experience the northern lights with me as well — during my March Lofoten photo expedition & workshop, where we focus on aurora photography, panoramic techniques, and real field workflow in some of the most iconic Arctic locations.
If the northern lights are on your bucket list, the March workshop is the perfect opportunity.
