Dolomites Photo Expeditions: Legendary Views, Zero Stress, and a Daily Dose of Prosecco 🌄🍾

Why the Dolomites Keep Calling Me Back

And Why You Might Want to Come Too 🇮🇹⛰️📸

Seventeen years. That’s how long I’ve been photographing the Italian Dolomites. These jaw-dropping mountains keep pulling me back, not just for their drama and beauty – but for the stories, the light, the people, and the raw adventure. And since 2014, I’ve been sharing this magic through private photography expeditions. From 2017 onwards, we opened the gates to group workshops – and what a ride it's been!

If you’re looking for a photo expedition, photo tour, or workshop that blends serious photography with big laughs, deep hikes, and jaw-dropping views, you’re in the right place. 🎒

What’s a Day Like on Expedition?

Early wake-up? Yes. But always for a reason.

  • 🌅 Sunrise mission — We hit a peak, ridge, or lake to chase that golden light

  • Return to base — Hotel breakfast (with real coffee, not instant tragedy)

  • 🚶‍♂️ Midday fun — Walks through alpine villages, hidden churches, or just chilling with locals

  • 🍾 Mandatory Prosecco stop — Because when in Italy...

  • 🏔️ Scenic exploration — Sometimes it’s a hike, sometimes a chill ride up the cable car

  • 🌇 Sunset & blue hour — Magic light, magical frames

  • 🌌 Milky Way sessions — Only when conditions are right (and group energy is still up)

But never stress. Never rush. It’s a mix of serious photography and serious fun.

The Best Spots – And the Secret Ones 👀

Yes, we hit the big names. Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Seceda, Lago di Braies, Passo Giau, and Alpe di Siusi – all the icons are on the list. You want that bucket-list Instagram shot? We’ll get you there. You want something nobody’s seen? Let’s hike for it.

But we also dive deep into lesser-known valleys, off-the-beaten-path viewpoints, and high alpine ridges that most tourists (and photographers) miss. Some require serious hiking. Some are just hiding in plain sight. Either way, they’re all magic.

We tailor every trip to different levels of experience and adventure. Want to stay close to the van and get great sunrise shots? Cool. Want to summit something before dawn? Even better.

Meet the Crew – Up to 4 Instructors!

Depending on group size, we run our expeditions with up to four experienced photography instructors. This means more 1-on-1 time, better field support, and tailored guidance from sunrise to Milky Way. You won’t just come home with epic shots – you’ll level up your skills too.

And yes, we shoot everything from panoramic daytime scenes to nightscapes under the stars.

🧭 Adventure seekers — We’ll take you to places few photographers even consider
👟 Casual walkers & hardcore hikers — Routes vary and we tailor to energy levels

And best of all — up to 4 instructors on each trip. So, lots of personal guidance, plenty of flexibility, and zero photo-nazi vibes.

Behind the Scenes: When the Mountains Fight Back 🌩️❄️

You haven’t lived until you’ve run down Monte Pore in a storm. True story: we climbed up for a perfect sunset pano, only to have black clouds barrel in within minutes. Then came the lightning. Then came the monster hail – the kind that makes you feel like someone’s firing an airsoft gun at your face.

Let’s just say Gore-Tex is not miracle fabric. We were soaked, laughing, swearing, slipping, and completely alive. This is the Dolomites: sometimes gentle, sometimes brutal – always unforgettable.

The Vibe – Real Photography Meets Real Fun 🎉📷

We’re here to shoot hard and laugh harder. Our trips aren’t about stiff rules or pixel peeping – they’re about exploring, creating, and enjoying the journey. Whether you’re a seasoned shooter or just bought your first mirrorless, you’ll feel right at home.

And hey, we know the best coffee stops, pizza joints, and rifugios too. Because life’s too short for bad espresso.
