Dragon's Teeth

Dramatic panoramic landscape photograph "Dragon's Teeth" at Ponta de São Lourenço, Madeira. Featuring the sharp eastern cliffs illuminated by rare sunset light. Captured by Jan Smid, Master QEP, in 2018.

This year's visit to Madeira was primarily devoted to the preparation of photo expeditions for the year 2019. Nevertheless I still found time for a few panoramic photos. This is one of them – taken at my very favorite place. This part of the island looks like most of the year, except for a few spring months, almost as a desert. However, it offers countless beautiful photo places… and in spring time there is an ideal night-time composition for the entire Milky Way over the ocean.

Panorama compiled from total of 51 frames (3-level exposure bracketing of 12 frames in two rows, 2-level focus bracketing).

Equipment: Nikon D750, Carl Zeiss Otus 28 f1.4
