Whispers of Light Before Dawn
I absolutely love this viewpoint above Reine — one of the most magical winter locations in the Lofoten Islands. We visited it again during our March photo expedition 2025, and just like every year, it delivered an unforgettable atmosphere. And yes, we’ll definitely return here with our March 2026 expedition, because this place truly has something special.
But getting the right conditions isn’t easy. In winter, the scene can change completely from one day to the next — sometimes the snow disappears after warm winds, sometimes fresh snow hides all textures, and sometimes the cold turns everything into a flat sheet of ice. That’s why having this view at the perfect moment always feels like a small victory. This time we were lucky: the light and the snow came together beautifully, giving us exactly the kind of mood we hope for on Lofoten workshops.
