February 21 â March 1, 2026
đ Cyprus | đ¤ Max 8 Participants | đ¸ Up to 4 Instructors incl. Jan Ĺ mĂd, Master QEP
Join Jan Ĺ mĂd, Master QEP for an exclusive landscape Cyprus Photo Tour â Snow to Sea in One Trip. Nobody runs Cyprus like thisâweâre among the very few (if not the first) to build a true, A-to-Z landscape expedition here. We spent three months on the island scouting locations, tides, light, access and timing so you donât gamble. Everything is dialed. This expedition is built as a hands-on field learning experience â teaching composition, exposure, timing and workflow directly in real landscapes and changing conditions.
Why late February?
Because itâs perfectâby design.
Troodos Mountains: reliable snowpack for clean winter compositionsâfrosted pines, ridgelines, alpine sunsets. Want a break session? Ski rental is available and local slopes are right there.
Kyrenia (Pentadaktylos) Range: just a short drive yet spring is already onâfresh greens, wildflowers, limestone spines and castle vistas.
Coast & Sea Caves: world-class seascapes, arches and sunrise cave frames. And for those keen: a quick swim in turquoise water that sits around the 18â20 °C mark near shoreâsome of the clearest in the Mediterranean.
đ¸ The most underrated landscape in Europe
Cyprus is unfairly seen as a beach holiday. In reality itâs a treasure chest: dramatic mountains, carved coastlines, hidden coves and sea caves that face sunriseâall packed into a compact island that lets us chase conditions fast.
Workshop format
Small group, big attention: max 8 photographers with an overstaffed instructor team for one-on-one mentoring. Weâll cover everything from single-frame storytelling, panoramas and long exposures to complete field-to-file workflows tailored to your level.

đşď¸ What Will We See During the Photo Expedition & Tour?
This Cyprus photo workshop doesnât run on a rigid timetableâand thatâs the point. Each day we pivot to the best snow in Troodos, spring greens in the Kyrenia range, and tide/swell/light for the coast, so youâre always shooting the most striking scenes in the best conditions.
Outside golden-hour sessions, weâll mix headline vistas with hard-to-find locationsâfrom snow-dusted forests and castle ridges (St. Hilarion) to sunrise sea caves around Protaras and backlit seascapes near Ayia Napa. No crowds. No noise. Just clean frames and moments that feel like theyâre yours.
Youâll photograph winter ridgelines, fresh limestone spines with wildflowers, and turquoise water with arches and long-exposure surfâone island, three seasons in a week.
Optional extras: quick ski laps in Troodos (rental available) or a dip in 19â21 °C / 66.2â69.8 °F turquoise water after a sunrise session. Cyprus is wildly underratedâthis trip shows you why. đď¸đżđđżđ¸

How We Work: Flexible, Real-World Shooting (what about the itinerary)?
We donât run a fixed day-by-day itinerary. Like most of our workshops, Cyprus follows a conditions-based plan â we adapt each day to light, weather, wind, tides and clouds to deliver the strongest possible photographic results.
Thanks to on-the-ground scouting and deep local knowledge of Troodos, Kyrenia (Pentadaktylos) and the Protaras / Ayia Napa coast, we always choose the right location for the moment â snow-covered ridges, limestone spines, or sea caves and arches when light and tide align.
Our focus is high-quality landscape photography â single frames, panoramas and long exposures. Between key photo sessions, we also explore iconic and lesser-known locations mentioned in the expedition intro, combining guided exploration with documentary-style shooting for a complete experience.
đŻ Our mission is simple: To help every participant create the best images possible â every single day.
This photo expedition is designed as an intensive field-based learning experience, where photography is taught directly in real landscapes and changing conditions. If you want to understand how expeditions, private courses and mentoring connect into one complete education system â and how individual formats complement each other â you can read a detailed explanation here.
For those planning more premium workshops in 2026â2027, explore our Alaska Fall Landscape & Glacier Photo Expedition 2026 and Alaska Fall Photo Workshop 2027 â two high-end adventures focused on tundra colors, glaciers and the Aurora Borealis (fotoexpedice AljaĹĄka 2026, fotoexpedice AljaĹĄka 2027, fotoworkshop AljaĹĄka).
â FAQ: Cyprus NorthâSouth Photo Workshop 2026
-
Absolutely! The expedition is open to photographers of all skill levels. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced pro, you'll receive personalized coaching from Jan Ĺ mĂd and his team. With their guidance, youâll refine your approach to photographing Cyprusâfrom the snowy Troodos Mountains to turquoise coasts.
-
Late-February Cyprus: on the coast expect 20 °C/68 °F in the shade, and in direct sun it feels much warmer. Skies are a mix of sun and clouds (great for photos), the sea is refreshing (19-21°C / 66.2â69.8 °F) and fine for a quick dip. Troodos is true winter (near-freezing with snow); we shoot snowy scenes there and then head back to the mild coast.
-
Donât worry! We can adapt to any gear you have, whether itâs a smartphone or a high-end camera. After you register, we provide a detailed gear list and recommendations to make sure you're ready for the conditions, and you can always consult with us for any additional advice.
-
Itâs the sweet spot: snowy Troodos, spring-green Kyrenia (Pentadaktylos), and turquoise seascapes around Protaras & Ayia Napa. One trip, three looksâwinter, spring, and coast.
-
Both. Youâll get pre-trip mini-videos (e.g., long-exposure seascapes) to arrive prepared, and we teach all techniques on locationâso youâre never left guessing.
-
Cyprus/Madeira/Lofoten/Iceland focuses on its specific scenery (coastlines, mountains, seascapes, ridgelines), while the Alaska Fall Landscape & Glacier Photo Expedition 2026 and Alaska Fall Photo Workshop 2027 deliver autumn tundra colors, glacier viewpoints and the potential for Aurora Borealis. Many participants combine one European trip with Alaska to build a complete year-round portfolio.
